Loraine Velda Peters Nee Mitchell

The death is announced of Loraine Velda Peters Nee Mitchell also known as “Mama” of Harford Village, St. Andrew, former worker at The Grenada Cocoa Association, who passed away on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at the age of 82.

She was the loving Mother of: Valerie, Daniel, Glen, Glena, Glenroy, Christine, Eastlyn, Big Joe, Shane, Sharon and Shedrock.

She was the sister of: Therese Alexander in Grenada and Constance Jacobin Trinidad.

She was the Grand Mother of:  Junior, Michelle, Michael, Kim, Koreen, Bassie, Kinda, Kayson, Michael, Mickey, Shinelle, Cardell, Rockell, Rena, Lovann, Zakierra, Zaria, Jadell, Shandelle, Shemar, Joedin, Kareem, Joel, Tara, Shamrock, Jonelle, Jodine Celina and Tamia Mitchell In Canada

21 great grandchildren 

5 great-great grandchildren.

Many Nieces and Nephews in Grenada, Trinidad and the USA including Augustine and Wayne Alexander in Canada, Cecil Mitchell in the USA, Yvonne, Yvette, Janet, Christine, Norbert and Paul in Trinidad, Erica and Patrick in Grenada, many other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. 

Mother in Law of Sheena Edwards-Mitchell, Kevin Bascombe and Jenneil Frederick.   

Very close and dear friend of: Ms. Artlyn Milette, Ms. Alsee and Maria Noel. The Langdon Family of Grand Bras, Harford Village and the USA; Faith Cox and Family of Belmont. Cousin of Many too numerous to mention.  Other relatives and friends including Dexter Connaught, Steve Broomes, Ann Marie and Family, Hon. Lennox Andrews, Parliamentary Representative for St. Andrews South West and Keith Lewis. Other relatives, friends and neighbours of Caruth, Harford Village, Grand Bras, and Surrounding areas. 

The Funeral Service of the late Loraine Velda Peters nee Mitchell also known as “Mama” will take place on Wednesday 15th March 2023 at 2.00 p.m. at the Grenville Pentecostal Lighthouse and interment at Grand Bras Cemetery.

    Deepest sympathies to the entire Mitchell Clan, especially to Glen (Goat-man) Cowie, Christine, Glenna, Valerie, Eslyn and the rest of the family. Ms Loraine was quiet hard woman. May she rest peace.
